The project titled Citizens for Sustainable Olive Oil Production, led by Prof. M. Fatih Aysan, has been entitled to be supported under the HORIZON-IMPETUS Accelerator programme. This project, in which Assoc. Prof. Ümmügülsüm Aysan, the faculty member of University of Health Sciences, and our centre assistant Merve Taşcıoğulları will contribute as researchers, aims to enhance to sustainable olive oil production in Bozdoğan district of Aydın. The project aims to improve yield and quality, increase environmental and economic sustainability by combining traditional farming knowledge with modern scientific techniques. Farmers and students will take an active role as citizen scientists, with a particular focus on empowering women and young farmers, fostering community engagement, and promoting knowledge sharing.
