Young Researchers Symposium Successfully Held
It was our pleasure to host the Young Researchers Symposium, organized by the Population and Social Policies Research Center of Marmara University. The symposium served as a scholarly platform supporting and showcasing the research of early-career academics working across the fields of political science, sociology, international relations, and related disciplines.
Throughout the symposium, participants engaged with a range of contemporary themes, including youth and the NEET phenomenon, migration and governance, political accountability, regional and global security dynamics, memory politics, and transformations in local governance and global economic structures. These discussions reflected the multidimensional and interconnected nature of current social and political challenges.
The sessions provided an inclusive academic environment where early-career researchers presented their work, engaged in dialogue, and explored complex issues through interdisciplinary perspectives. Topics ranged from identity and leadership to regional security, diplomacy, and shifting global dynamics.
The symposium brought together seven young researchers from various European universities, who are currently undertaking their internships at the Marmara University Population and Social Policies Research Center within the framework of the Erasmus+ Internship Program. Their contributions formed an integral part of the academic exchange and thematic discussions.
This gathering marked a meaningful step in fostering an intellectually engaging and internationally connected community of young researchers.
