Prof. Dr. Amir Erfani has joined our advisory board.

Amir Erfani is Professor of Sociology and Demography in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Nipissing University, with expertise in the social and technical demography, quantitative research methods, and social statistics. He received his BA in Social Research and MA in Demography from the University of Tehran, and his PhD. in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario.

His research interests include modeling human fertility behaviors, family planning, reproductive health, family transformation, health over the life course, and social and economic integration of immigrants. His recent projects, funded by Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), examine low fertility and fertility intentions of Iranians, especially in relation to family transformation, and their reproductive health challenges.
